LAS BRISASAS
Lisandro Cardenas Castro's farm is located in Acevedo, in Colombia's renowned Huila region. As the son of a coffee producer, Lisandro grew up surrounded by coffee and later studied coffee production at Colombia's National Learning Service (SENA) before establishing his own farm. Today, he cultivates specialty coffee on 4.5 hectares of his five-hectare farm, benefiting from volcanic and sandy loam soils. His dedication to quality and meticulous farming practices are reflected in every lot he produces.
VARIETY
This coffee features the renowned Gesha variety, a cultivar originating from Ethiopian landrace genetics and celebrated worldwide for its exceptional cup quality. Gesha is prized for its elegant floral character, refined acidity, and remarkable complexity. Combined with Huila's unique terroir and high elevations, it produces an expressive and beautifully layered cup.
PROCESSING
This coffee was processed using the Natural method. Only perfectly ripe cherries are selected, cleaned, and slowly dried whole on raised beds for at least two weeks under carefully controlled conditions. This extended drying process enhances sweetness, fruit intensity, and a silky mouthfeel while preserving the delicate character of the Gesha variety. The result is a vibrant and complex coffee that fully expresses both its origin and cultivar.
